Demand Letters & Court Proceedings

We begin with a formal demand letter setting out the claim and the consequences of non-payment. Where the debt is undisputed, we may apply for summary judgment to obtain a swift court order. For larger debts owed by companies, statutory demands under section 327 of the Companies (Winding Up and Miscellaneous Provisions) Ordinance (Cap. 32) can be an effective pressure mechanism. We also advise on and conduct standard debt claims through the District Court and High Court.

Enforcement & Insolvency

Obtaining a judgment is only the first step. We enforce judgments through garnishee orders, charging orders, examination of judgment debtors, and, where necessary, winding-up or bankruptcy proceedings. For cross-border debts, we coordinate with lawyers in relevant jurisdictions to pursue enforcement where the debtor holds assets.
